Over the years, The Peter Hoyt House has been the site of a great variety of businesses. In addition to Dr. Hoyt's long-ago medical practice, these businesses have included: speech writing; strategic marketing; newsletter publishing; word processing (22 employees on-site); Internet publishing; manufacturing of antique-replica furniture; and retail sales of antiques, books and gifts.

The 2456-square-foot barn has been renovated for business use: manufacturing, storage, office or showroom.

The barn includes a 28x33-foot loft -- ideal for an artist's studio, a crafts workshop, or light manufacturing (it once housed 11 machines used in furniture manufacturing).

The barn has been rewired with modern electric wiring throughout. In addition, we added a 20-KW whole-house backup generator to maintain normal business operations through the occasional winter power outage.

Broadband Internet service is available at this location. We use it every day.

FedEx, UPS, DHL and Airborne pickup and deliver Monday through Friday. In addition, there are FedEx and UPS drop-off boxes 12 miles away in Plymouth.

And, of course, the Wentworth Post Office is within walking distance. We do it in 3 minutes.
